Diablo: Unbound is described as a "Dungeon Battler" where players will defeat waves of monsters and ultimately face a boss in each level. The game features four character classes: Barbarian, Paladin, Sorceress, and Hunter, each with unique talent trees and abilities. Players will traverse three acts from the base game, with each act consisting of three dungeons that can take approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete. The entire act can take up to four hours.
The game allows players to teleport back to town between levels for upgrades or breaks, enhancing the gameplay experience. Once characters reach the maximum level and are fully equipped, they can enter the "Torment" mode, where bosses appear in their strongest forms, increasing the challenge.
Crowdfunding and Development
Diablo: Unbound will be funded through a campaign on Gamefound, which is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2027. The board game is being developed by Glass Cannon Unplugged, a studio with experience in creating tabletop adaptations for games like Don’t Starve, Dying Light, and Frostpunk.
