Final Fantasy 14's Evercold Expansion Set for February 2027 with New Zephyr Job

Square Enix has announced that the next expansion for Final Fantasy 14, titled Evercold, will be released on February 23, 2027. The expansion introduces a new job called zephyr, featuring ranged combat with a crossbow and an avian companion.

Evercold Expansion Details

Final Fantasy 14's upcoming expansion, Evercold, is scheduled for release on February 23, 2027. During the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo, producer and director Naoki Yoshida unveiled the expansion's second new job, zephyr, which is a physical ranged DPS role that utilizes a crossbow and is supported by an avian familiar named Nephele. This follows the earlier announcement of Bastion, a tank job that wields a greatshield, revealed at the Fan Festival in Berlin.

Pre-order Information

Pre-orders for Evercold and the accompanying Collector's Box will begin on November 4 at 9 AM GMT. Players who pre-order will gain early access to the game and receive a Wind-Up Köttr minion, along with Halone's Earring, which increases experience points from defeated enemies by 30%. These items will be available immediately upon pre-ordering, allowing players to level their jobs in advance of the expansion.

The Collector's Box does not include the game or any in-game items but contains various physical collectibles, such as an art box with an illustration by Yoshitaka Amano, a figure of the Warrior of Light as a reaper, and other themed merchandise. Additionally, a limited Collector's Bundle will be offered, pairing the box with a code for the Digital Collector's Edition, which includes exclusive in-game content.
