GTA 6 Receives PEGI 18 Rating, Revealing Graphic Content Details

PEGI Rating Highlights

GTA 6 has officially received a PEGI 18 rating, indicating that the game contains graphic content that may not be suitable for younger players. Notably, the rating disclosed explicit mentions of violence, including decapitation and dismemberment, as well as a strong presence of drug use and sexual themes.

According to the now-removed PEGI listing, players can take on the roles of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two criminals involved in a conspiracy set in Vice City. The gameplay allows for a high degree of freedom, with the ability to harm all characters in the environment, including civilians and law enforcement.

Content Details

• Violence: Described as "bloody with a high degree of realism," with certain weapons capable of causing significant damage, including detailed depictions of decapitation.
• Drug Use: The game features frequent and prominent drug use, allowing players to snort cocaine directly from their inventory at any time.
• Sexual Themes: The listing mentioned strong sexual content, including nudity, sexual intercourse, and scenes of sexual fetishes. Players can also engage in activities such as paying for private dances in nightclubs.

Additionally, the rating noted that the game includes strong language and discriminatory remarks in various media within the game world. Furthermore, it hinted at the option for in-game purchases, although details on this aspect remain unclear.

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This rating update provides a deeper understanding of the game's mature themes, setting expectations for potential players ahead of its launch.
